Well I'm finally updating the artist's favourite feature!
Now if you are just reading this or visiting for the first time, this feature is for all deviants. I have always wondered what works were the artist's personal favs. So I'm asking
Just send me a note or leave a comment telling me between 1 and 7 deviations that are your favourites

I was taking a picture of this single ...whatever it is, when a beautiful multicolored fly (?) landed right on the tip of it. Of course I failed to get the thing completely in focus because I was using my granddad's manual focus macro lens, but I still think it was a fairly successful composition.
This is one where I feel like I'm finally beginning to have a sense of style. I've gone through the birth-pangs of the general learning process of photography, now I'm starting to add to it. I read some where that style is what is left over when a portion of something is pared away. Sort of like that...
Call me crazy, but this little series I did with 'common Diner objects' is very close to my heart for some reason. I feel as if I poured a good portion of my soul into the composition, lighting, tone and framing of each of these. Yes, I know their simple pieces of junk found on a diner table, but I'd like to think I made them a little bit more than that, if only for a moment.
I discovered Infrared filters during this series. It blew my mind how much character was added to certain images when film grain was added or black and white tones. This is a good example, hopefully.
I'd like to think I added a sense of foreboding, moodiness, dark distortion to these plain old objects. I hope so. Lord knows they're close to my heart.

"I love the lights here"
I also really like my poem "I Gave You Up" because it's based on something that really hapened, and I'm glad i could write my feelings on it(my poem called Blind is based off the same experiance lol).
And i think the third one i really like is FATE. i just liked how it went, even if it was cheesy.

"I got very lucky with this shot
"this one is my most faved
"I
"for one of my favorite songs
"I think it holds an important reminder
"no reason
"it's far from perfection, but it's the gothiest of what I have and a bit creepy. I wish I could recreate that atmosphere more often.
"cause it's just an exact projection of my everyday feelings. Kind of a lot of sentimental value."
"his was my first time to shoot long exposures in the middle of the highway! it's an unforgettable experience for me. it was terrifying and fun at the same time, and the rush i felt was priceless."
"this was a mall that was full of people and very much alive when i took this photo. today, people do not go here as much, and it lost it's life when a part of it was bombed months back. so i guess this is a tribute to the victims of the glorietta bombing."
"this was my first major disappointment in photography to date. no matter how much i tweaked every setting, i can't seem to capture lightning on my camera. i'm posting this because it is a failure, and hopefully i'd get it right next time."
"because woopers are better than mudkips :]"
"because i'm proud of the colouring."
So that is it for now...quite a bit too heh heh
But if you could help out my just letting me know that you participated, that would be EXCELLENTAY!
A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL PARTICIPANTS!
